No legal charge is payable unless the case is won and the client obtains an award of compensation. In the event that the legal claim is lost there is no charge made to the client.
If the case is won and the client is awarded compensation there may be a deduction from their compensation award of up to 30% of the amount of the award by way of legal fees.
In all cases a fee is payable if the case is not pursued at the clients request, subject to the normal 'cooling of' period.
If your case does not result in an award, Oakwood solicitors will normally make no charge. You can cancel your instruction at any time in writing, up to the matter being finalised, however a fee may become payable.
